Who we are
When's That On (whensthaton.co.uk) lists UK event dates with a source link for each one. The site owner is the data controller for the personal data described here. For any privacy question or request, email theemilydyson@gmail.com.
What we collect
There are no accounts, sign-up forms, comments or newsletters on this site, so we never ask for your name or email address. Personal data is processed only in the ways below.
- Server logs. Our host, Vercel Inc., processes your IP address, browser user agent and the page you asked for in order to serve and secure the site. These logs are kept for a short period and are not used to identify you.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd) to count visits and see which pages are useful. In the UK and EEA it sets its cookies (
_ga,_ga_*) only after you consent, and it collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on. - Advertising. Ads on this site are served by Journey by Mediavine and its advertising partners, who may use cookies, device identifiers and similar technologies to show ads and measure them. Visitors in the UK and EEA are asked for consent first, and you can change your choices at any time through the privacy settings link shown with the ads. Mediavine's own disclosure appears at the end of this page.
- Affiliate links. Some pages link to booking partners through
/out/links marked as affiliate links. When you click one we record which link was clicked, for which event and from which page. We do not record your IP address or anything that identifies you. The partner may set its own cookies once you reach its site, under its own privacy policy. - Maps. Event maps load tiles from OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation), which receives your IP address when your browser requests them. Maps load only when you scroll to them.
Our fonts are hosted on our own domain, so no font requests go to third parties.
Lawful basis
We rely on legitimate interests for server logs and security, and on legitimate interests for affiliate click counts, which hold no personal data. We rely on consent, where the law requires it, for advertising cookies and analytics cookies.
International transfers
Google, Vercel and Mediavine's partners may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict its processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email theemilydyson@gmail.com. Because we hold no names or email addresses, most data about you sits with the providers above, and we will tell you who to contact. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking advertising cookies means you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant.
Children
This site is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date above.
